COMMUNITY
Interested in Getting Involved?
At The Nativity School, parents are valued partners in education. Our faith-centered community thrives when families are actively engaged in the spiritual, academic, and social growth of our students.
Join our Parent Teacher Group (PTG)
Our Parent Teacher Group (PTG) is a vital part of our school community. Through collaboration and volunteerism, the PTG enriches our school by fostering a spirit of connection among families and supporting our mission.
How the PTG Makes an Impact
- Building Community: Organizing school events and fostering meaningful relationships among families.
- Active Involvement: Providing opportunities for parents to share their time, ideas, and unique talents—whether on-campus or behind the scenes.
- Targeted Fundraising: Raising funds that directly benefit our students by supporting classroom resources, campus improvements, and school programs.
- Enhancing Student Life: Funding the “extras” that make daily school life special and ensure our students have the tools they need to thrive.
Participation in the PTG is a rewarding way to stay involved in your child’s education. Every effort, no matter the size, makes a lasting difference in the life of our school.
Volunteer to be a Room Parent
Room Parents play an important role in supporting classroom teachers and helping build a strong sense of community within each grade level.
Serving as a key point of contact between the teacher and families, room parents:
- Assist with organizing class events
- Coordinate volunteers
- Communicate important information throughout the school year
Volunteer to Coach an Athletics Team
Our athletic programs are designed to nurture the “whole child” by integrating physical skill-building with core spiritual values. We believe that the playing field is an extension of the classroom, providing a unique environment where students can put their faith and character into action.
Developing Character Through Athletics
- Building Fundamentals: Teaching the essential skills of the game while fostering discipline, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
- Cultivating Integrity: Encouraging students to grow as individuals rooted in respect, sportsmanship, and the teachings of the Church.
- Fostering Inclusion: Creating a supportive community where accountability and encouragement ensure every student is both challenged and empowered.
- Striving for Excellence: Inspiring athletes to do their best in all things, recognizing that their efforts contribute to the strength of the entire team.
The School Advisory Board
The School Advisory Board is established as a consultative body, responsible for advising the pastor and principal in matters of policy, planning, and finance for the School. All recommendations of the Board are subject to the approval of the pastor. Board members are appointed by the pastor and principal and serve for a three year term.
We welcome all parents to Get involved!
At Nativity, parent involvement is not just volunteering—it’s living out our Catholic values, supporting our children, and building a vibrant, faith-filled community.
