3rd Grade Classroom

Dear third grade families,

Welcome to a new and exciting school year at The Nativity School! My name is Mrs. Nikki Brady, and I am honored to be your child’s third grade teacher. I have been a part of the Nativity School family for over a decade as a preschool teacher, teaching assistant, and art teacher, and I am so excited to begin this new chapter in third grade.

Teaching is truly my passion, and I believe every child is uniquely gifted and created in God’s image. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel encouraged, supported, and inspired to grow academically, creatively, socially, and spiritually.

As a Catholic school community,our faith will remain the center of our classroom each day as we practice kindness, gratitude, and respect for others.

Third grade is an important year filled with growth, and discovery. Students will strengthen their reading and writing skills, become more confident in multiplication, division, fractions, and problem-solving, and explore social studies through history, geography, communities, and culture. Creativity and hands-on learning will also be encouraged throughout the school year.

This year, our classroom will also come alive with creativity and real world learning opportunities! Students will take part in the Poetry Cafe, where they will write, share, and celebrate their own original poems with classmates and families. In addition, we are excited to go on a field trip to the USS Midway Museum, where students explore math on Midway, using fractions in real-world applications while discovering the history of this amazing aircraft carrier.
