Ms. Carrano joined The Nativity School in 2025 and serves as science teacher for grades 5-8. She began her teaching career in 2024 and is grateful to have found both a professional and spiritual home at Nativity. She is passionate about inspiring curiosity and helping students discover the beauty of God’s creation through the study of the natural sciences. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Dallas and a Master of Science in Geological Sciences from San Diego State University in 2020. After working in environmental science, she combined her love of education and travel by accepting a teaching position in Kuwait before returning to the United States to continue her career in Catholic education. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Carrano enjoys playing the piano, traveling the world, researching native plants, and spending time with her cat. She looks forward to investing in the lives of Nativity students and fostering a lifelong appreciation for science, faith, and God’s incredible creation.
