5th Grade Classroom

Dear 5th Grade Families,

Welcome to an exciting new school year at Nativity! I am thrilled to partner with you and your child as we embark on this final, foundational year of elementary school.

This year marks a special milestone for me, as it is my 10th year here at Nativity School. Over the past decade, this community has become a second home to me. In total, I have dedicated 15 years to Catholic education within the Diocese of San Diego. Prior to finding my calling in Catholic schools, I spent 10 fulfilling years teaching in public schools, bringing my total classroom experience to 25 years.

Throughout my educational career, I have been blessed to serve in many different roles. I have been a Vice Principal, Athletic Director, Lead Science & Math Teacher, and everything in between. Additionally, I am honored to lead and coordinate our weekly school Masses this year, helping our students grow deeply in their faith and leadership. These diverse experiences give me a unique understanding of how to support your child academically, socially, and spiritually.

Fifth grade is a momentous year filled with significant academic growth, leadership opportunities, and spiritual development. Our curriculum will challenge students to think critically, dive deeper into science and mathematics, and grow as confident, independent learners ready for middle school.
