STUDENT LIFE

In conjunction with forming great thinkers, we also must craft great people. Education is one of the key factors that will set a student up for success in life. At the Nativity School, we are interested in forming students who not only think well but act well and are properly directed towards what is best in life: the Good, the True, and the Beautiful. Drawing on the depths of Catholic heritage and the beauty of the Christian human experience, we foster students who understand service to others, achieve the best version of themselves, and work towards peace and justice for others. We also understand how critical play is in the formation of a young student. Play not only takes place on the field or play structure, but also in the classroom where students can create, wonder, and wrestle with art, literature, music, theology, mathematics and the sciences.

Social Emotional Learning and Character Development

We utilize the CharacterStrong advisory program (Grades 6-8) and Purposefull People toolkit (Grades TK-5) to address the needs of the whole child with a vertically aligned curriculum that teaches Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and character development simultaneously. This curriculum complements our Virtue of the Month focus in our religion curriculum.
